Ravinala Airports Hosts the ADRASEC General Assembly

Ravinala Airports hosted the General Assembly of ADRASEC (Association des Radiotransmetteurs de la Sécurité Civile) on January 24 at Nosy Be International Airport, providing a useful forum for collaboration and discussion on emergency response and safety.

 

This meeting is a component of an ongoing, active collaboration, as demonstrated by a number of tangible initiatives implemented throughout 2025, such as:

  • In March 2025, a technological facility was built at the summit of Mont Passot.
  • Training provided by SPT teams to municipal firefighters and airport employees (June–July 2025),
  • The ultrasound equipment donated by Dr. Georgin,
  • Equipment provided by the Hell-Ville fire department,
  • ADRASEC’s involvement in the November 2025 airport emergency drill,
  • and a 10 million Ariary grant given to ADRASEC by Ravinala Airports in 2025.

Inauguration of the national terminal at Antananarivo airport

Starting today, the national terminal reveals its new face. A reimagined space to be the first showcase of Malagasy hospitality and a place where passengers travel in complete serenity, where every journey begins with a smoother, more serene, and more welcoming experience.From January 2025 to date, an average of 60 aircraft movements per day have been recorded at Antananarivo airport, divided between 32 regular movements (19 national, 11 regional, and 2 international) and 27 private aircraft movements (25 national and 2 regional).The terminal's capacity, at the "optimum" service level, increased from 120 passengers per hour to 216 passengers per hour. Similarly, the capacity of the conveyor belt increased from 297 pieces of luggage per hour for a length of 26 linear meters to 900 pieces of luggage per hour for a belt of 80 linear meters.A new chapter is opening, driven by the commitment of the teams and the desire to offer infrastructure to international standards, in the service of Madagascar and its travelers. Welcome to this new experience.

The national terminal of Antananarivo airport is getting a makeover!

Fully renovated, this space dedicated to passengers now offers a more modern, functional, and comfortable environment, thereby enhancing the travel experience for departures and arrivals of domestic flights.Some major changes:BEFORE:- Terminal capacity at "optimum" service level: 120 passengers/hour- Line Inspection and Screening Post (PIF): 1- Boarding area: 380 m2 with 151 seats- Boarding gates: 2AFTER:- Terminal capacity at "optimum" service level: 216 passengers/hour- Lines of Inspection Filtering Post (PIF): 2- Boarding area: 760 m2 with 236 seats- Boarding gates: 4- New businesses- Currency exchange, ATM area- Tienda Express- New dining areas (in the departure lounge, city side)- Children's corner- Comfort corner- VIP Area- Salón- General aviation space- Cultural discovery space
